Better Together: Meet the Technology Partners at Itron Inspire 2026

September 30, 2026

Only together can we solve today’s energy and water challenges. Progress depends on utilities, technology providers and industry experts working together to turn data into action and investments into measurable outcomes.

During the Knowledge Conference at Itron Inspire 2026, taking place Oct. 18-20 in Houston, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from more than 50 technology partner companies. From AMI and grid edge intelligence to water management and affordability, these partners will share practical insights that utilities can take back to their organizations as they navigate an increasingly complex utility landscape.

Verizon Takes Center Stage as Platinum Sponsor
We are thrilled to welcome back Verizon as the returning platinum sponsor of Itron Inspire 2026.

Utility communications networks are supporting more devices, data and applications than ever before. At Inspire, Verizon will share its perspective through a featured breakout session, The Resilient Edge: Next-Generation IoT Technologies for Grid Fortification. Attendees can also engage with Verizon in the Knowledge Center and learn about the important role communications technology plays in helping utilities build resilient, connected networks leveraging Itron’s Intelligent Connectivity Platform.

Insights Across the Utility Ecosystem
As this year's Diamond Sponsor, Microsoft will participate in the Big Picture Session, Modernize, Don't Just Replace: Unlocking Grid Edge Value, exploring how utilities can maximize the value of existing AMI investments and modernize more strategically. The session reflects a broader theme across Inspire: helping utilities get more value from infrastructure that’s working while making informed decisions to modernize what’s not.

Across the conference, attendees can learn from partners including AT&T, Ericsson, Nokia and EPRI on communications networks, interoperability and next-generation AMI technologies; NET2GRID on managed EV charging; Bidgely on energy affordability; and Toumetis on predictive grid intelligence. Johnson Controls and Fluid Conservation Systems will contribute to discussions on smart water solutions and water loss management, while Util-Assist will share lessons learned from utility operations and data management initiatives.

These sessions are only a sampling of the partner expertise that will be on display at Itron Inspire.

Innovation in Action Through the App-a-Thon
New this year is the Itron App-a-Thon, where utility teams collaborate to develop applications and analytics designed to address real operational challenges. The App-a-Thon is supported by Smart Energy Water (SEW), the premier sponsor, and Infosys, the advisory sponsor. Participants will explore new ways to apply data, analytics and software to utility operations while sharing ideas with peers and collaborating with industry experts.

Connect with Technology Partners Across the Utility Ecosystem
Beyond the conference breakout sessions, the Knowledge Center offers opportunities to connect directly with technology partners and continue conversations about the challenges utilities are working to solve.

Attendees can connect with exhibitors and sponsors representing a wide range of technologies and services, including Oracle, TerraGo, Tantalus, Panasonic Connect, RouteSmart, VertexOne, Aclara, Diehl Metering, Ensight+, Radian Research, Honeywell, Codibly, Eguana, Geospace Technologies and others. Dedicated networking lounges hosted by GE Vernova and Bidgely, along with partner-sponsored activities including Women Who Inspire, LinkedIn Live discussions, lightning talks and networking events, provide even more opportunities to engage with industry experts.

Whether you're evaluating new technologies or planning future investments, chances are you’ll find a technology partner at Itron Inspire 2026 who can help you move forward.

Join us in Houston Oct. 18-20 and discover what's possible when utilities, technology and industry expertise come together.
