Kelly Hinkle

Kelly Hinkle is Director of Water Operations at DC Water. Kelly has worked in the water utility industry for over 15 years, and before joining DC Water, she spent time in customer service, purchasing, project management, and water utility leadership with the City of Wilmington. During her career, Kelly has been integral in the execution of several major initiatives, including a system-wide meter replacement program, lead inventory efforts, cross-connection and backflow control programs, and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployments. Having earned a degree in English, Kelly never intended to become a water professional, but throughout her career she has developed a great love for the work and a real curiosity about technologies that can move the industry forward. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and is a big ice hockey fan.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and is a big ice hockey fan.
